CHALLENGE

Skills Canada Yukon needed to refresh its website to better meet the needs of site visitors. The previous website was difficult to navigate, lacked engaging content to connect with its primary audience, and utilized an outdated platform

Approach and Solution

We approached this website modernization by taking a user-first approach to site navigation. Through collaboration with the client, we discovered the ideal user experience they wished to provide for Youth learning about Trades in the Yukon. Truly understanding how this audience ingests information and the amount of time visitors spend per page helped inform the best possible flow through the website.

We focused on creating a clean and modern design for the website that applied visual storytelling, interactive elements and clear and concise messaging that prioritized ease of navigation and user interaction. Having a deep understanding of the target audience also meant the website leveraged mobile optimization, for Youth learning on-the-go.

Since the initial website development, we’ve been involved in its evolution to keep the website looking fresh, engaging and relevant.
